The Flexed Framework

1) What is it?
a. The Flexed Framework is an arsenal of *CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) rules that work together to provide a cohesive feel to all of the FAIS Web applications and Websites.

While there are a great many style rules that make up the Flexed Framework there is an underlying method to the madness.

This method allows for our Web presence to maintain its visual integrity on all platforms whether it be one of the thousands of mobile devices in the world or on a desktop computer.

When a cohesive look and feel needs to be maintained across an entire portfolio compromises need to made in order to accommodate a healthy mix of creation speed, visual cohesion and sweet looking design. The Flexed Framework is the tool FAIS utilizes for this; and it does a pretty fine job.

The Flexed Framework is implemented across every one of the WordPress sites underneath the Finance and Administration banner along with utility sites like the SPS Invoicing tool and EHS Lab Safety Signage platform. The goal is achieve the best possible output without needing to add time into the process of creation.

*CSS is:
1) Nerd speak: …a style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language (HTML in this case).
2) English: …how we make website code look how we want it to.
