There are often times when a new site needs to be added to or removed from a site’s Spine.
This Quick Tip is divided into two sections. One for adding a spine item and another for removing a spine item.
- Notes:
- For this tip you should already be on the page that needs the spine edit and logged into WordPress with editing rights.
- While there are multiple ways to edit the Spine this tip covers the most straightforward method.
Removing a Spine item
- While viewing the page click the Customize option in the top bar.
- A new menu will appear on the left hand side of the window.
- Click the “Menus” option
- Notice that the menu switches to display the current Menus.
- Global Menu
- Site
- Offsite links
- In this tutorial we will be selecting Site
- Notice that the menu switches to display the current Menus.
- Click the Main Site Menu option
- You will see a complete list of everything that exists in the Spine of your site.
- Click on the Spine item you would like to remove.
- This will “pop out” the item and show you a little more detail about the item.
- Click “Remove” to delete the item from the Spine menu.
- NOTE: This will not remove the site from the page.
- Click the “Publish” button when you are ready to save your changes.
